Motorway route to Lake Como with a stop at a motorway restaurant for free breakfast. After admiring the evocative views of Lake Como we will reach Chiavenna, the gateway to the Val Bragaglia and climb to the Maloja Pass. Upon arrival, a short walk will allow us to reach the lookout on the giant pots, a natural spectacle and precious testimony of the last glaciation. We will reach St. Moritz, the heart of European social life, the capital of luxury and charm, set in a romantic landscape. We will walk in the upper part of “Dorf” admiring prestigious hotels, the bell tower and the shopping streets of the Engadine. After free lunch we will leave from the Rhaetian Railway Station aboard the famous Bernina Red Train. We will climb towards the glacier of the same name along an evocative route through the Swiss Alps, overcoming some of the steepest climbs in the world, a helical viaduct, an engineering miracle, tunnels and suspension bridges. In the afternoon we will reach Tirano, a small village in the center of two of the most important communication routes in the Alps: the Strada Regia towards Milan and the Strada Imperiale towards the Stelvio. We will visit the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Tirano, a monumental work of art built to commemorate an apparition of the Virgin. At the end of the visits we will leave for the return journey with an appropriate stop at the motorway restaurant and arrival in the evening.
